Happy Inauguration Day!

I started feeling funny a couple of hours ago.  I felt like a blanket of negativity was draped over my shoulders and over my head.  I did a wonderful chakra-clearing meditation, and yet the feeling returned.  It was a mild anxiety that felt like it was threatening to explode into a full-blown panic attack. I tried to understand where this feeling had come from.  I hadn’t seen anything on Facebook

Remembrance Day

There are two issues which come to mind today. One is the pink elephant in the room – the new president of the United States of America.  The other is the fact that the day I am writing this is the 11th day of the 11th month, and at 11.00 this morning, in the middle of our choir practice, we had 2 minutes silence to remember those fallen in the

Be The Change

I was feeling lazy today, and was going to repost an earlier blog post that you may have all forgotten.  However, when I checked with my angels if they had any other suggestions, they said: “Write from the heart.” "My heart is awfully quiet, angels.  Would you like to lend a hand?" "Yes, Lorelle, we would. We wanted to tell your readers not to fear the coming elections in the USA.

Vote

If you live in Queensland, you will be aware that there is a local council election and referendum, relating to the state government’s term, coming up on March 19th.  Even though I don’t understand the system there, I know that the USA is currently in the midst of presidential primary elections and they will elect their president later in the year.  The Australian Federal election is predicted to be sometime

Warrior Of The Heart

Today’s blog was inspired by Yes, Prime Minister, the old British comedy series that we have seen hundreds of times, and yet still manages to make us laugh. This particular program was suggesting a more democratic system with more grass-roots representation which would mean eradication of the party system.  Naturally, the politicians were quick to renounce the truly democratic system once they realised its ramifications. There were other sources of

Expanding The Comfort Zone

I had my appointment with my federal member of parliament today, about live animal exports. I had accumulated a large amount of information about live animal exports and the alternatives which are available in the form of chilled meat exports.  Thanks to a very helpful lady at Animals Australia, I had so much information about the industry and the alternatives, that for a while I was a bit overwhelmed.  I

The Value Of Democracy

If you are a regular reader of my blog, you will remember that, a couple of weeks ago, I talked about empathy and energy.  My conclusion, if you recall, was that empathy was a good thing, because it caused us to want to create joy for everyone, as a way to create joy for ourselves. Then I received this daily quote from Abraham-Hicks: There are as many different worlds as

I Love Tony Abbott

A Prayer of Compassion For those of you who have seen some of my earlier blogs and facebook posts, you will know that seeing Tony Abbott become Prime Minister did not fill me with joy.  I heard myself saying "It's not the party, I just can't stand Tony Abbott." Oops!  For someone who espouses the concept of love for all, I knew I had some work to do.  I knew

Amazing Grace

On 19th May 2013, I sent the following document to every Australian MP and every Australian senator.  Below, you will find their responses and my conclusions: "I recently saw the movie “Amazing Grace” about William Wilberforce and his campaign to end the slave trade. When viewing the cramped and putrid conditions in which slaves were transported on the sea, I was reminded of the way we now transport our live
