I Can See!

i can see 3Last night, during my meditation prior to going to bed, I asked for some inspiration for this week’s blog.  I received a vision of me creating a picture using a computer program.

I have spent the morning enjoying myself as I played with the program, and attempted to remember the vision I had seen, and to recreate it.  I was happy to create some colour in what would otherwise be a dull grey day.

I am no artist, as can be seen from my final creation above.  I couldn’t quite figure out what my blog was supposed to be about, but assumed that it must be just to encourage people to enjoy themselves in creative pursuits, even if they think they are not good at whatever it is.  It is enough just to enjoy the experience.

It was only after I started trying to create my masterpiece that I realised.

I don’t see things!  I have always told myself and others that I am not a visual person.  I might receive words, thoughts, or feelings with my sixth sense, but I don’t see things, and if I do, I have trouble making out colours.  I may be clairaudient, claircognizant, and clairsentient, but I am not clairvoyant.

And yet, during last night’s meditation, I had not only seen a vision, but I had seen the vivid colours with which I was supposed to recreate this vision.

But what does this mean?  Could it be that I had this ability all along, and the only thing standing in my way was my own mind?

I have been working at developing my clairvoyance for many years – making positive affirmations, and using the pictures on oracle cards to enhance my skills.  But it was only when I let my guard down that I was able to notice the results.
I wasn’t trying to see anything; I was expecting something else.  Had I asked to see a vision, I probably wouldn’t have been able to see anything, because I would have told myself that I couldn’t do it.

The truth is we can do whatever we set our minds to.  Perhaps that should read: we can do whatever we don’t set our minds against.

I know that there must have been something in my past which made me decide that I wasn’t clairvoyant.  Perhaps it was the belief that I developed from my Christian upbringing that clairvoyance is wrong and dangerous, even though I later realised that it is a gift from God.  Perhaps it was a fear left over from a previous life, in which I was persecuted as a witch.

Now, having stumbled across this ability accidentally, there will be no stopping me.

Do you have psychic ability?

You know the answer is yes; we all do.

These gifts, which God has given each of us, allow us to communicate with the divine and our divine helpers more easily.

It is not surprising that most religions have discouraged the use of these gifts.  With direct access to communication from the divine and our divine helpers, we are less likely to need to rely on those religions and their services.  Instead, when used in conjunction with our internal guidance system, our psychic gifts allow us to know the best course of action in any situation, without needing to consult ancient texts or those who study them.

Have you been like me and resisted the use of these gifts, perhaps even without realising?

Now that you have thought about it, you might like to develop these gifts more fully.  Even though we are all born with them, they are like unused muscles: if you don’t use them they can become wasted.  Just as an invalid may need to do special exercises to build up their wasted unused muscles, we often need some psychic exercises to build up our unused psychic abilities.

Here are a few steps you can take now to get started:

1.   Live in the moment.

You are unlikely to notice any divine communications, if you are busy worrying about what you are going to do tomorrow, or what happened yesterday.

2.    Pay attention to the information that your physical senses are bringing you.

If you take for granted the sights, sounds, smells, tastes, and feelings which your physical senses bring you, you may miss the information which your psychic senses bring you as well.

What does an apple really taste like?    What sounds do the birds make? What is unique about that leaf that you see in front of you? What does it smell like?  What does the trunk of that tree feel like?

You may start to appear a bit crazy as you begin to pay attention to everything around you, but it will be crazy in a good way, because the reason you appear crazy is because you are doing something that normal people don’t do.  Normal people don’t experience half of what happens to them.  Not only will you be helping to develop your psychic abilities, but you will be living a more joyful life, because you are experiencing it more fully.

3.    Give yourself permission to be psychic.

It helps to make a conscious decision that this is what you want.

4.    Meditate regularly.

It is easier to hear, feel, know, and see divine communication when your mind is quiet.  (Psalm 46:10:  “Be still and know that I am God.”)

5.    Practise.

Psychic development classes are a great way to practise and have fun in the process.  If you can’t get to one or can’t find an online version, try practising with your friends, but make sure you choose those friends who will be supportive.

Oracle cards are a good way to practise developing your psychic abilities.  If you first say a prayer, asking for the reading to be of the light and asking for assistance from your divine helpers, it is sure to be a positive experience.

Now that you have set your mind to it, there will be no stopping you either.

If you would like to have some fun developing your psychic muscles, try this exercise:

While I was writing this blog, I wrote down a number between 1 and 10, and a letter of the alphabet.  After a few moments of quieting your mind and asking for divine assistance, try to think of a number and a letter, and write it here in the comments on the website or facebook page.  The first right answer wins a free Tarot reading.  I will post the answer on Sunday night.  If you don’t get it right, don’t worry, it has still helped with those psychic muscles.

Q: What is the difference between a flashing red traffic light and a flashing yellow traffic light?

    The Colour

I suppose it’s more of a riddle than a joke.

Thanks, Jennifer, but I’m willing to wait a bit longer.

A very important event is going to happen on May the 4th. I’m telling you so early because it’s so important. I urge each of you to mark that date on your calendars with the letters BU. It’s very important that you include the letter B with the letter U; you may miss the importance of the event without it.

So go now, and mark your calendars. Keep repeating to yourselves as you walk to the calendar, so you don’t forget: May the 4th, B with U; May the 4th, B with U….

    Better??

Sorry to keep you in suspense for longer than intended, guys.

    The answer was 5 A.

Well done, Jennifer, You were closer than you with your 5 J. There are only 3 letters in the alphabet which end in the same A sound – A, J, and K. Jennifer, you have won a free Tarot reading if you would like one.

Well done to all those who had a go but didn’t post the result.

    Love
    Lorelle

By the way, Jennifer. I think this joke is a bit better. Practice makes perfect, so keep trying.

    Love
    Lorelle
